Is the end of the road for Lifelock in sight? A new site launched last week is highlighting all the court cases currently on going against Lifelock as well as the fact that they do nothing you cannot do yourself in around 5 minutes.
The site, called Lifelock Scam even provides the phone numbers and web links so you can add a fraud alert to your credit file and request your credit report. As the site points out, these things are your right as a consumer and as such are easily and freely available so why pay Lifelock $10 a month for the rest of your life?
Most of us have read or heard the argument that you can do what Lifelock does yourself but when you see it all written down and explained just how easy it is to do, you can understand why they call it the Lifelock scam.
Perhaps more worrying though are the court cases the site has listed. Lifelock are currenty being sued for false advertising, because the guarantee is misleading and most worryingly of all, by Experian who say Lifelock are illegally placing their customers fraud alerts.
As the fraud alerts are what Lifelock built their business on, this could be the start of the end for Lifelock.
If you are considering signing up, you might want to make yourself a coffee and have a good read at the Lifelock Scam blog before deciding as it makes for a very interesting read. Click here for the site.
